Graduation Requirement


1. English Proficiency Requirement for Graduation

The English Proficiency Requirement for Graduation for each undergraduate student of the College is the level of B2 level of CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference ) (equivalent to TOEIC score of 785+, TOEFL iBT score of 72+, IELTS score of 6.0+, OPT score of 61+, or GEPT High-Intermediate or better) obtained prior to the 2nd semester in the 3rd year of their study in Fu Jen.


Students who do not meet the standard prior to the 2nd semester in their 3rd year are reqired (1) to participate in the Atonoumous English Learning Project and take at least 4 tests each semester in their senior years (students who achieve the average score of 80+ in the 1st semester tests or have accumulated 4 times test score of 80+ during the 2 semesters can waive the remaining tests. Students who have completed the Project required tests are eligible for graduation. Or they can (2) take any English proficiency examinations again and achieve the B2 level of CEFR to meet the English proficiency requirement for graduation.

 

Note: To comply with the latest CEFR converter table, the English proficiency requirement of B2 level of TOEIC equals to 785 is applicable for students enrolled after 2023. Students enrolled before 2023 will meet the requirement with TOEIC 750.   


2. Course Requirement

Each underdraduate student of the College should take at least 5 professional course taught in English prior to graduation (English training courses are excluded, e.g. Foreign Language, English Conversation, English Conversation and Writing, and Freshman English Conversation) to meet graduation requirement.


Note: To comply with the strtegic goal of internalization by the College of Management, undergraduate students enrolled after 2023 will have to take at least 5 professional courses taught in English before graduation; full-time gradute students will have to take at least 1 professional course before graduation. Undergraduate students enrolled before 2023 will have to take profession courses taught in English at least 3 credits. There is no minimum requirement for full-time graduate students, enrolled before 2023, to take professional courses taught in English.
