AACSB Accredited

The Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB) is a world renowned accreditation institute that challenge business schools to pursue excellence and continuous improvement throughout their business programs. AACSB represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Less than 5% of the more than 16,000 schools worldwide granting business degrees have earned AACSB accreditation. Accredited in April 2005, we are the first AACSB accredited school in Taiwan and China, the major Mandarin Chinese speaking region in the world. In 2010, 2015 and 2020, we successfully passed the Continuous Improvement Review (maintenance accreditation). We at the College of Management will keep pursuing excellence and continuous improvement throughout all our programs.

Catholic and Jesuit Educational Philosophy

We are the only business school in the Great China Region supported by the Jesuits, whose philosophy attracts and retains many faculty members who strongly believe in ethics, social responsibility, and social justice and are willing to achieve our educational goals together. As a member in the IAJBS (International Association of Jesuit Business Schools) network, we work with other Jesuit business schools for issues of global sustainability in the domains of teaching, service, research to advance business education worldwide.

Balance of Management Knowledge and Business Ethics

The College of Management has also been stressing the virtue of human-centric value-be kind to one another, be kind to the environment, and be kind to society. The Center for Corporate Governance and Business Ethics also plays an important role in facilitating business ethics and human-centric value. We believe that business success should never come at the expense of humanity and require our students to always bear in mind social justice and humanity when they analyze business opportunities or develop strategic plans.

Human-Centric Values and Service Learning

We strongly believe in serving humanity and continually encourage faculty members to embed service learning in their pedagogies to fulfill human-centric values. With numerous service learning activities, we aim to cultivate students who not only create profits for businesses but also show empathy and proactively help disadvantaged groups in the society.

Balance of Theory and Practice

We constantly host conferences or forums to invite practitioners, government representatives, and outstanding researchers to discuss contemporary economic, social, and management issues through which students benefit significantly from practical view-points as well as theories. With the platform of research centers, the College of Management continuously collaborates with firms from the industry. The faculty members work with students to undertake research projects granted by various organizations. Both the faculty members and students acquire substantial practical experience in such projects.

Collaboration with Universities Worldwide

Leveraging its AACSB and Jesuit business school networks, the College of Management has initiated numerous academic exchange programs and joint curriculum/degree programs with more than 100 universities worldwide. Several dual degree programs were offered to bring students cross-cultural learning experience and develop a global mindset for them. The College provided incentives and trainings for faculty members to teach in English, publish papers in prestigious international journals, attend international conferences, and develop international networks. The collective efforts of faculty members have laid a solid foundation of international collaborations.
